QUESTION: I have been fishing for flathead and channel cat but had no luck at all, any suggestions on what kind of bait to use and where to fish it?
Answer: Well, they are on the bottom so fish deep. They like the part of the lake where the river or stream feeds it. Thye like that current and the fish that it brings down, so the big cat don't have to move too much. I like to catch a few small fish, cut them in half or hook the whole little ones and send them as deep as I can with a sinker to take them all the way down. Then wait. I have seen them caught at all times of the day |
